My Turn To Report

I think it is only fair that I, Jeff Mulcock, do a post about myself considering I keep asking for you to update me on the last 10 years of your life.

I kind of split my life after Centennial up into two very distinct groups: University life and New York life. It is amazing how different those two stages in my life have really been. Environment, friends, daily life all very different...but hopefully people would say I have remained relatively the same person since high school.

So after high school I went to college. I got accepted into USC in Los Angeles as well as BYU in Provo, Utah. Originally, I really, really wanted to go to USC to study film. But then I looked at the cost of tuition ($30K+ a year) and opted to to head to BYU ($3K a year) - plus my boys Mikey Smith and Scott Henneman would be there. My BYU experience in a way was an extension of high school in that I hung out with a lot of my Boise friends. I lived with Scott, Mikey, Eric Atwood, John Root, and Kelly Frew...and we kept the Centennial spirit alive with buttrock BBQ's and Boise reminiscing. I really enjoyed those four years at BYU because it always felt like I was with family having people I grew up with around all the time. I got a degree in advertising and also studied film theory.

Since I was little I've always known I wanted to live in New York. I am drawn to big cities and the constant visual stimulation and opportunity they provide. Three days after graduation I packed up everything I had and moved out here, without a job or ever having stepped foot in NYC. I love it here and if I can afford it, would love to live here forever. I work in advertising and take part in a million things each week, from concerts to art to museums to parties to travel to movie making, etc. etc. etc. I am very involved in making horror movies out here (my favorite genre) as a hobby. I do advertising for Subway Restaurants - and sometimes I just gots to support my brands. I have also worked on BMW and Dannon Yogurt.

Kelly Frew, Ryan Fisher, and Rob Chatterton partied with me one year for New Years in Times Square.

Ben Wilson and wife also came recently to enjoy some art and the craziest clown show ever.

I am a member of the New York Lawn Bowling Club in Central Park. We participate in lawn bowling on Saturday afternoons and early mornings to ease the stress of New York madness.

This is a picture of my movie premier in Washington DC. One of my horror movies got played in a movie theater down there. One of my best friends lives there and she was in the film along with her cousin and uncle (pictured).

It all comes down to this: I'm 28 and single and have loved every minute of it with no regrets whatsoever. I started seeing someone last year and have fallen madly in love. Her name is Caitlin and strangely, she is from Idaho. I met her in North Carolina at a party on the beach and we have been together ever since. Last Friday I asked her to marry me - the answer was Yes. So we will be getting married on August 4th in New York City, which is where we met and call home. I guess this will be a third section of my life starting, fittingly, along with our 10 year reunion. We'll be in Boise for an Idaho reception just in time for the reunion and hope to see you all there!
